The bridge between UAlberta students and the accounting industry.
In 1971, the annual Alberta Accounting Dinner (previously CA Dinner) began with the objective of uniting students and corporates in a professional dinner setting that facilitates networking. The high corporate to student ratio at this networking event provides a rare opportunity for one-on-one interactions between students and corporate representatives. The dinner has now become one of the most highly demanded accounting events on the U of A campus.
You are invited to the 48th Annual Alberta Accounting Dinner, one of the most highly demanded business school events on campus.
Our theme for this year's dinner is "Unleashing Your Endless Opportunities." This year's theme is inspired by every accounting student's unique career path. Most accounting students will pursue their CPA designation after graduation, but many students do not realize a CPA is an applicable designation to a wide range of opportunities and foundational to a number of attractive career paths. With this dinner, UAAC hopes to provide a variety of speakers from industry and public practice to help students identify the endless possibilities made accessible through this all-encompassing designation.
The high corporate to student ratio at this networking event provides a rare opportunity for one-on-one interactions between students and corporate representatives. Seats with firms are chosen by students and are distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis. The dress code is business formal.
Tickets are $35 and will be sold at Week of Welcome Clubs Fair on September 3-4th in Business Quad.
